Ner-a-Car 1921
The museum has two Neracars! These unique American machines (also licence-built in England and sold under the Ner-A-Car name) were made from 1921-26 and featured a low steel frame and a friction drive transmission, originally powered by a 221cc 2-stroke engine. It was the first production use of hub centre steering on a motorcycle. Around 10,000 were built in the US and 6,500 in the UK.
