Kawasaki 1966-1971 W1 650cc Twin

logo

Introduced in 1966, Kawasaki had inherited Meguro's BSA-based parallel twin which they thought offered a quick route into the big bike market. The Kawasaki engine is 624cc and developed 50 bhp at 6500 rpm. It looked and rode like a pre-unit BSA. Other versions were the W1SS and street scrambler-style W2TT Commander.
