Description.

James was one of the pioneer British motorcycle manufacturers, beginning production in 1902. Early examples were powered by Belgian FN engines, with the company subsequently adding engines of their own including 5OOcc and 600cc V twins.

This machine represents, at 250cc, the policy of the firm in later years of building motorcycles up to that capacity.
