Gilera 98cc Giubileo (Jubilee) 1959

This excellent example from Gilera is part of the range produced in 1959 to celebrate Gilera's Golden Jubilee. The engine has square dimensions of 50mm bore x 50mm stroke, 7.8:1 compression ratio, and produces 6 bhp at 7000 rpm.

A somewhat unusual feature is the very low bottom gear final ratio of 29.15:1, presumably to amble along in Rome's traffic.
