Similar to the Ural, the Cossack was the result of equipment from the Eisenach BMW factory being taken to Russia after WWII. Copies of the R66 model made and have had updates over the years. The Cossack, more than others from similar factories throughout the former Soviet Union, were often sent for export. Cossacks were built in both Kiev and Irbit.
