To counter a trend away from street motorcycles Bultaco introduced the Metralla in 250cc form in 1966. It was nicknamed the "Barcelona Bomb". With a claimed maximum speed of 103mph it was reportedly the quickest single cylinder 250cc roadster.
Also available was a high performance kit.
