Ref No 044
After a period of planning interrupted by WWI the BSA company released, in 1920, their Model E V-twin.
Fitted with a 770cc side valve engine, with cylinders inclined at 50 degrees, power was transmitted through a three-speed gearbox. Designed with sidecar work in mind it was built for stamina rather than speed. In various engine capacities the V-twins continued until 1940 with the onset of WWII.
