Gold Stars were to be found in all aspects of motorcycle sports; clubman road racing, scrambles, hill climbs - and the machines were well-liked by the rier who fitted clip-ons and rear sets to build cafe racers. Finally ceasing production in 1963 after reaching the pinnacle with the DBD models which were introduced in 1956.
