BSA had a good reputation for reliable bikes and the success grew with the introduction of the S27 (also known as the Sloper model). Theey acquired an engineer and designer from Daimler called Harold Brigggs who designed new sporting machines for them, including their popular 493cc ohv Sllper of 1928. It was produced for 10 years and was available with a 350cc, 500cc and later a 595cc engine. Trhourout its production little was changed from its original popular design.
